Dr. Nathan Karpinsky
Dr. Nathan Karpinsky is from Plymouth Wisconsin, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay with a Bachelors of Science major degree in Human Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He is also the Valedictorian of his graduating class from the well known and respected National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. Upon graduating, Dr. Karpinsky received The Joseph Janse Outstanding Graduate Award which is given to students for outstanding contributions to National University.
During his time at National University, Dr. Karpinsky has been extensively trained in evidence based medicine to provide whole health healing to patients and to be a well prepared first-contact, primary care physician, ready to diagnose, treat and manage a wide range of patients and conditions. He also worked with fellow clinicians as a teaching assistant and while completing his internship was given the Lead Intern position which is earned through exceptional work and dedication. Dr. Karpinsky is one of only eight “full body” certified active release technique providers in the state, a certified Kinesio Tape Practitioner, and has a training background in functional movement assessments.
Dr. Karpinsky spent time treating athletes in various sports ranging from Baseball, Football, Track, and many more at Benedictine University in Illinois. He also treated and volunteered at mixed martial arts events, Chicago Half Marathon, and multiple 5K events throughout Chicago.
Dr. Karpinsky moved to Mount Pleasant in the summer of 2012 with his wife Nikki and couldn’t be happier. Along with spending his free time with his wife, he is also working hard on the Wando High School Improvement Council. It is his goal to grow and make the community a better place.
Dr. Paul Kukes
Dr. Paul Kukes grew up in Anchorage, Alaska where he trained as a dancer and gymnast for over 15 years. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. Following graduation Paul worked as a Certified Personal Trainer in Arizona as well as performed professionally as an actor in multiple musicals in the Phoenix area. In 2008, he was accepted to the National University of Health Sciences in Illinois to study for his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree.
While attending National, Paul worked as an anatomy teacher’s assistant and privately tutored hundreds of students in head and neck anatomy lab. He also worked with the advanced rehabilitation courses as a teacher’s assistant, utilizing his knowledge from his training background. This experience allowed Dr. Kukes to work at Benedictine University with many collegiate athletes including, baseball, football, and track. In December of 2011 Dr. Kukes achieved one of his goals by becoming a full body certified Active Release Technique (ART) provider.
Paul also volunteered his time and services to work with mixed martial arts fighters, multiple 5k and half marathons, as well as watching the 1-2 year olds at his Church’s nursery once per month. After graduating from National, Paul and his wife, Abby, moved from Chicago to Mt. Pleasant, SC to open Elite Health Solutions with his fellow classmate, Dr. Karpinsky. Since then, he has worked with many professional and semi-professional athletes in various sports including, baseball, soccer, distance running, and track. In his free time, Paul enjoys running with his wife, working out, drinking fine wines, and playing with his three children, Jackson, Peyton Reid, Fielden, and 9 year old Westie mix, Chandler. Elite Health Solutions’ goal is to help people regain their health, improve their performance, and enjoy their lives.
